Hi All,

I just got my MP2
I can't update the AC with the app. Due to the connection failure
I have installed the Assistant 2 for Mavic on windows 8 PC.
But the program does not detect the AC on USB. I can't even get to the stage of selecting the right FW.
So I'm stuck at the moment. Any help would be appreciated...

This image is an example. And I've never put my android in airplane mode.

Someone told me about Windows 8 issues like Drivers for Assistant didnt install.

Can you help me with this?

Above all I'm considering flying anyway with the actual firmware, I think that will not be a problem. After calibrating everything of course.212344i3azwbsc333bboob.jpg

Well, thanks for your comment but mine is Mavic Pro 2 and the video refer the PRO. Also I'm running in 64 bits.
Will that help anyway?

Ok. I will do it. After rebooting everything will go back to where it was or I have to do it manually?

Essentially the issue may be that Windows 8 is not allowing the proper installation of the USB driver that DJI Assistant 2 uses for communication.

DJI created a driver that was "unsigned" and not a driver that was sent in to Microsoft so they could test the driver and make it one of thier approved drivers. So when one attempts installing the DJI Assistant 2 software this "unsigned" driver attempts to install and fails quietly in the background.

The way to determine if this is the case with your scenario is to check the Device Manager and see if there is a notification for the Vision (Interface 3) having an issue with the driver.

If there is an issue then the process above may help resolve that issue. Essentially you are just allowing your Operating System to boot up one time that will allow the installation of "unsigned" drivers.
During the next reboot one just enters the Operating System as they normally would.

It isn't an issue with the DJI driver necessarily. The assistant uses the USB as a network interface, IP address and all. There's a known problem with the driver that comes with windows that provides networking via USB. I forgot the fix, but I created a topic about it.

Thanks DanMan32.

Can you give me the link of that topic?

I will try what BD0G wrote firts and if nothing happens I will try your fix.

Sorry about all my questions but I just started using the Mavic 2 so I'm a noob here...

And if I can't update it? Is there a problem?

I didn't even tried calibrate IMU, Gimbal and sensors. I hope I will not have similar problems...
