From today's first flight of my M3. I try to show proper respect to buildings I'm shooting by lining things up carefully, and this didn't turn out too badly for someone who's never flown before. But I'm wondering if any of the old pros have any tips about alignment?

With my Phantom 4 Pro and GO 4 app, I use Focus Assist to "zoom" in providing a clearer idea of alignment against the grid lines.

Sadly, this is one of the glaring capabilities missing from the Fly (cr)app. Most of my jobs involve multiple shots of buildings from different altitudes, so it is sorely missed.

You can tweak any misalignments in Lightroom's Geometry panel - especially if you have taken the time to get close in the original image.

Welcome to the forum, composition of a shot is the same or similar to a hand held or drone. There a plenty of online photography training if you want to improve your shots and short cut the learning process. Look forward to your seeing your shots in the future.
Regards
