First time flying the drone on this trip. Only flew a few times during the weekend. Tofino is awesome for photos.

Seaplanes and helicopters. The entire district is an NFZ plus the rest of the peninsula because of the National Park. Seems like lots of people fly there though.

Flying your drone safely and legally - Transport Canada

There is a Waterdome in Tofino Harbour and an Airport in Long Beach. A 5.5 Km no fly zone for both excludes most of the peninsula.
I will use the Google Earth Pro ruler tool to draw a 5.5Km circle from any airport near where I will plan to fly.

Waa, waa, waa, waa, waa. Of course I didn't watch the video. Who has time to look at other peoples' stuff? My comment was to the end that ignorance of the rules or intentional violation of the rules are going to come back and bite us all in the a$$ in the form of even more rules, mandatory licensing and insurance, increased fines, and/or any number of other things that none of want to happen. This has already happened in Thailand where any drone with a camera has to be registered AND carry liability insurance. I'm sorry if this offends your artistic sensibilities but your flying to record video of your precious vacations is not more important than my not having to put up with the collateral regulatory damage from that flying.
