Fly app OR Assistant 2 ??

Can a new out-of-the-box Mavic Mini use the Assistant 2 for initial first time set up, or do you need to go through the fly app first? Thanks in advance for any insight.

you will need the fly app for the initial registration to link it to your DJI account ,as far as i am aware
