This video is just one small example of what I do often, flying for one of our clients. In this case it was for Joyce Crane, a big, professional lifting company based in our town, Longview, Texas. I am a Part 107 certified pilot. This is not particularly exciting but it's part of my job and enjoying flying any time.

What is your drone that you used ?

I use the DJI Mavic 2 Pro. I have three Polar Pro ND filters but in the Texas sun I always use the highest one I have, ND16, as I did on this video. So, my settings are typically 1/60 shutter, f4 or 5.6, ISO 100. Flown mostly manually with POI used once. The music is from our Storyblocks library we pay for. Thanks for asking.

Very Cool - I'm purchasing a Pro as a "spare" / second drone. Do you find lack of a "zoom" an issue - or just need to fly closer / post edit?
The Zoom is my first drone so I'm just dipping my feet in - rather quickly.

I've flown two large lifts this summer. It's fun. Lots of chances for great imagery.

I presume the flights are to provide overall clearance guidance not otherwise obtainable? I noted the adjacent power lines where the new fire escape was going up.

Nice!

We had to have a tree removed from our backyard. Those cursed emerald ash borer beetles killed all the ash trees. The deck was built around the tree, so they couldn't just drop it where it stood as it would have destroyed the deck. So they used a crane to lift the tree in three sections up over the house and cut it up in the street. I used my old Phantom-1 to document the process.

I wouldn't otherwise have flown over my own neighbourhood like this for fear of offending any of our neighbours. But no matter how many times I watch this video, I'm still disappointed that I cannot spot a single nude sunbather in any of my neighbours' backyards. Go figure.

Actually, no. We do marketing for the company and do short videos when they do interesting or unusual lifts. The videos go on social media.

WOW, flying in a heavy snow! Bet that wasn't a cheap tree removal, involving a crane and all. I assume you patched the hole in the deck this Spring or Summer.
