Probably less risky to fly forward and play the video backward.

For a shot like this it is much safer to fly forward, then reverse in post. Of course that doesn't work with moving objects (people, cars, water).

Jim and John, for some reason I find flying backwards easier, pulling the drone towards me. It’s the same with my Spark - a lot of my videos are backwards, pullback type shots, none of which were reversed in post.

You can fly forward and play backwards, isn't that like multi tasking?

I do a lot of low flying in my backyard using my Mavic Air.
I think of it as honing my maneuvering skills.

this is exactly my thought, id be a little nervous doing it backwards like that

Just make sure the sensors are on!

I had to turn the sensors off, Spamgnome, otherwise they wouldn’t have enabled the drone to complete that run.

Thanks Dronage, I was right behind the MA as it neared that last bollard. It was close but I knew it was going to miss it. Then, just after the bollard, I had to duck in front of that tree to keep myself out of the footage for as long as possible. The drone’s camera does a good job of making things look closer than they really are too.
