you should still be able to control the drone ,press RTH button on controller and then you can cancell it if video comes back or you want to land it yourselfHey everyone I'm just wondering if it is possible to continue flying using the gps and map once you lose video feed?
i would not really want to fly further away unless i had a video feed to my screen as there would be no orientation data to guide you,if the screen went blankThanks for that mate, so do you think you could keep flying further away from you or does the controller range cut out at same time as video?

sometimes the video will just freeze if its a total loss of connection ie video feed and RC to drone then after a few seconds the drone should go into auto RTH as long as it is further than 20m from the home point
Good advise! Nothing worse than losing video feed and you dont have VLOS. The only option is RTH. I had this occur at night and had to turn on the LEDs to see the drone.i would not really want to fly further away unless i had a video feed to my screen as there would be no orientation data to guide you,if the screen went blank

Yes, the "Loss of Signal" RTH settings would remain the same and GPS still works. They are part of the mini, not in the controller or phone.Question I know that the mini can fly with just a controller of course I wouldn’t but for curiosity if you were to send it out in a straight flight would the return to home and battery failsafe still work the same? Would gps still function?
