Hi,

Given that the Mavic records video in 4k, what are the benefits to using the 'take photo' feature as opposed to extracting a frame from a recording?

Even in 4k you will still get a better picture with taking a photo, less artifacts from compression and others.

Plus you should always extract the RAW image if you plan to do anything in post-processing.
