Fun Night 360° Long Exposure

Hopefully this link works for the Google Street View of the night time 360° Panoramas that I took. I set the MA2 to Manual - 2 seconds - ISO 200. And yes, I strobed the hell out of it on all sides. Considering that it was pretty windy, with gusts, I am very happy with the shot. The 360’s are cool to view around with devices that have the ability to pan around with.

I use the Strobon Cree by Flytron for the strobes. They are self contained and last a couple of flights before needing charging. I use green in the front and red in the back to help with orientation.

They are sold many places, but here is an Amazon link. (Not a sponsor).


On Ariel-Pixel, You can use these 3D printed mounts for the Cree Strobes. Mounting them on the struts makes it pretty easy. I think the seller is a member on here maybe.

The props totally clear the mounts and strobes. I don’t do the GREEN-RIGHT - RED-LEFT convention because for me, for my drone, it’s meaningless. Drones fly backwards often. So. RED means BACK and GREEN means facing me. Way easier for me to know which way I’m pointing.

I occasionally have a strobe on top, It can can be seen if the drone is level with you...not really higher. But when the drone is fast it’s pointing “downish” and helps. That one was a Lume Cube mounted with hook and loop.
