Hi All,

Have had a couple flights with my new Mavic. Very very happy with the craft itself. My issue is that the gimbal is either straight forward or straight down when I use the little black stick by the right control stick. I have gone into the settings and changed the speed at which it is supposed to rotate however it still points either straight forward or straight down I cannot stop it in between or make it pan slowly. I can if I use my finger on the iPhone screen however that means I have to take my thumb off one control or the other. Any help would be appreciated. :)

You can set a wheel over the joysticks to control your gimbal and set it's speed to anything you want.

You can adjust the gimbal more smoothly using the little wheel under the video capture button top left side of the controller :)

It takes a little bit to get us d to which direction moves the gimbal which way, however, I only use the little black 5-way button (way you are currently adjusting the gimbal) for landings or when I need to quickly see what is below me!

Hey, easy mistake to make. You're not suppose to use that black stick to control the gimbal. Explore the controller more, you'll notice that theirs two roller style triggers at the top of the controllers. The right one controls the gimbal.

That stick you're using is only to move the gimbal straight and down as and when needed

Might be the left one, hard to tell when you don't have your controller in front of you. Check out the controller button allocation in the menu.

^^^^100% this

Way better to ask if you don't know then assume and end up with your drone in a lake or making the evening news... The rollers are difficult to find by touch (as are the two bottom configurable buttons for me) until you know where they are, and unless you remember the right one spins and controls the camera setting while the left only tilts the gimbal, you will use the wrong one and wonder why the camera isn't moving haha
