Gimbal ribbon question...

When I replace my ribbon, do I need to put a dab of silicone back on them??? If so, is there a specific type I should use?

I use liquid electrical tape by Star-Brite. You can find it at Home Depot

OP, I would not use anything on the ribbon, no need to if you do it right. Where are you thinking about using silicone?

Where dji has it on the plugs for the ribbon cables. Had to pull some off to get the cables off, wasnt sure if I needed to replace it

If you can apply it without getting any on to the pins, or inside the connector, you can try it. Next time you try to get the connector out, it might be tough.
