Got a question about video editing software.

Is it right that DJI app is flakey. But they can give Gov means to track UAV and pull identity?

nmonitizedI' have edited photos for years. My issue is video. I'm very green and ignorant. After a lot of you tube videos i see many using Davinci Resolve. I have an old laptop. Toshiba Core I3 running windows 7. I downloaded the new Davinci and got errors. Found out Davinci 14 doesn't support windows 7. SO i downloaded 12.5. I got an error message about missing open CL. I got the fix for that and now I get the error No CUDA Acceleration detected. I can's seem to find a fix for this.

I purchased the Mavic Pro Platinum mainly for the experience of flight. However it would be nice to be able to record footage and upload unmonitized to the net in HD. The video software I have now only allows me to save video at 640 x480 and it's one of those consumer auto sweat resource hogs. I have a program called hand brake that can convert it back up but once the quality is lost converting it back up just makes it worse. Is there any version of Divinci that would work with my system? Is there something else? Because of the age and size of my computer I cant get some no mind auto suite that all loads into memory. The more automation the more arduous it is for the system. I was pretty sure Davinci was going to do that if I could make it work. All I need is a good clean editor that will handle all resolutions of the Mavic and convert and save to 1080 For best quality on Facebook, Youtube and such.

Sorry! I know my system is technologically ancient but I can't possibly afford to replace it in the foreseeable future. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

There are a lot of video software threads here that might have a recommendation for your system. Just search for video editing software.

Regarding Resolve, it requires a powerful video card and seems to favor Nvidia.

Thanks for the advice. Yes I believe you are right. I found that out when I ran into the CUDA error. Cuda is Nvidia from my understanding. I will try the search. I'm looking for something that works like the old Photoshop pro programs. Extreme functionality and very very powerful. At the same time not a resource hog because it didn't load the program and every function into ram. It would load a function like sharpen do the actual sharpen then it would put it away freeing up the ram and virtual ram space on the drive.
