Hi guys and gals.

I have just updated my Nikon gear with a Mavic 2 Pro and a Smart Controller. Now the learning starts, because it's a WHOLE different world with recording video, than it is taking photos with a DSLR.

So here is my first "Dronie" saying hi:)

Welcome to the forums - a lot of good info here. Also, the search function (magnifying glass icon upper right) is a great way to find answers to many of the questions a "newbie" will have. We were all "newbies" at one point.

Welcome to the forum.

Velkommen til Vabbes fra Hauptmann i Texas USA!

You'll find that flying your Mavic 2 Pro or any DJI quad is so easy. They practically fly themselves. This can lead to overconfidence. Read the manual, and be conservative at first. Practice using the “Find My Drone” App. Chances are you will crash and perhaps lose your bird. Don't wait until that happens to learn how to recover a lost drone.

Lots of good stuff to shoot throughout Denmark and the EU. Also, you might consider hacking the FCC mode. It will give you higher signal strength and better protection from lost connection. Whenever you need help, there are over 100,000 of us from around the world to assist you as you gain experience and grow as a pilot and photographer.

Tak, fordi du kom med i vores gruppe!

Welcome to the Forum from Chicago the Windy City. Looks like you have some wide open spaces where you live.
I have to travel to country side and find wide open space. So, I don't bother people and they don't bother me.
Enjoy, your new Bird, and Fly Safe and have fun.

Hi guys and thank's for the warm welcomeThumbswayup

I will try to put together a small video of where I live. And as @Hauptmann says, it fly itself and can lead to overconfidence. I almost ran into that issue a few hours ago, when I was making a POI shot and forgot I had an HF-antenna wire hanging across our yard/driveway??
