Motorcycle ride to check out the Hanging Flume along the Dolores river. Built in the 1880's to transport water for gold mines in the area. Auto wreckage is below where 141 makes a sharp bend in the road way 300' above. I was flying -200 to -300 feet from the historical marker overlook. Very nice, interested in the story on the wreck, any information? Probably Not gonna your Bird back from there if there's problem!

Any idea what the story is on that old walkway on the side of the cliff?
Looks like a HUGE amount of effort was expended building THAT
 
The old "walk way" on cliff was a water duct to get water for mining operations in the 1880s. See Wiki link in post.

Drone recovery from here would have been a river expedition.

Don't know the story behind the wreckage, I'm sure the local law enforcement would have some tails. This area is pretty remote western CO. The road above the cliff looks like this now but I'm guessing it didn't always have a guardrail.
