Hi-Rise Sign Surveys and Mapping

Hello, this is my first post but I've been piloting drones for nearly 20 years. I've learned through making many mistakes along the way, some my own, and others glitches.

I now pilot my drone for my job in the sign industry. I've spent hundreds of hours simply piloting drones but as a job, the requirements are sometimes challenging to achieve.
I measure heights, widths, depths, etc. as well as survey the locations to insure the customer gets the most from each and every sign we install. There are many things that go into performing such a task, but I was wondering if there are others who are using their drones for the same thing.

3D mapping is now something I am interested in. Methods used by others in performing 3D mapping is really what I'm looking for, but any experience is welcome. I will explain exactly what I do later, but for now, is anyone else using their drones for such tasks? If so, please explain your methods, experiences, etc.. Thanks!

I am sure many of us are more interested in exactly what you do now, rather than later.
What exactly goes into surveying the locations with the drone to ensure the customer gets the most from each and every sign you install?
Please help us better understand by explaining your unique methods.
