Home button activated on S7 Edge when inserted into remote arms

I use my Galaxy S7 Edge as a backup screen but can only insert it part way onto the remote arms otherwise the home button get depressed. Has anybody found a solution?

Get one of those cheap silicon or hard plastic surround cases, gives it just enough so the home button doesn't get pushed when the arms are closed on the s7 edge

I'm using the Edge with a Speck clear case and I found easier to fit the arms by removing the upper rubber grips from each arm. Now it's snug and the case adds clearance to the home button.
