New to the game , just got my magic pro platinum last Christmas . Great gift for retired guys , a hobby that gives you lots of things to do and keeps your mind working. Now to the subject, it didn't take long to realize the bright sun glare was a constant problem . I tried the first step and ordered the sun shade . It helped but didn't solve the overall nuisance of not being able to see the screen . It caused me a crash , out $ 195 ( ouch ) , that's what happens when your using Quickshot and hit the helix icon instead of Rocket one and your not that far from your house. So here's what I did to solve my problem . I made a cover for the sun shade by using an old dog clipper case , separating the case . I then cut eye holes in one half of the case and added foam rubber and a cloth cover over the foam and by the way a glue gun works great for this . Now since I wear glasses I took and old pair and removed the lenses and installed them in the eye openings . Works for me .

Awesome!! I don't know how old you are, Memphis, but I'm an old fart who doesn't see much ingenuity anymore in terms of making something out of nothing!

Has given me an idea...

I've been really unhappy with the lousy view trying to fly VR with those $25-30 "cheap" VR goggles and don't have the budget for the grandiose DJI Goggles. But I'd "burn" another 20 bucks for a cheap set of VR goggles, tear out the OEM lenses, and glue in a set of my old eye-glass lenses in place to see of that would work better LOL!!

Great job, Man!!
