OK not the most revealing title but just back from this lovely old 19th Century country house in Surrey (it is now a stunning hotel and venue for weddings and conferences) in which lived Lord Byron and his daughter Ada Lovelace. She was a friend of Charles Babbage the guy who is accredited with being one of the first computer programmers. Ada apparently foresaw the opportunities his developments could bring to a wider audience. Anyway a blustery morning did not deter me from popping up to see what the property looked like from above and from admiring the colours of Autumn on display.
