So 2 weeks ago I lost my Mavic mini due to a flyaway caused by high wind. I contacted dji support and they said they could send me a replacement aircraft only package (including battery and propellers) for 15% discount.

I was wondering, how long does it take for it to be delivered to me based on people's previous experiences? DJI can't confirm until I pay, but I don't want to wait the 6+ weeks that I've heard other people have had to wait. I'd rather pay full price and get next day delivery from a local retailer. I am from the UK btw.

Thanks

if you want a drone pretty quickly then you would be better getting one from the UK if you can find one ,there are not many flymore combos about but you should be able to pick up the basic one fairly easily good luck

well really it is wait and save 15% from DJI or buy one in the uk ,you will have to factor in any delivery costs, and the fact that at this time of year, you will be part of a massive logistical exercise moving stuff around the world in time for Christmas

Exactly, that's my problem. I heard DJI was notorious for slow delivery, and I'd ideally want the replacement before Christmas day. But saving 15% is a big deal, especially as I lost my old one, so any money I can save is a bonus. But I am very impatient person and hate waiting a long time for deliveries. If they can deliver it within 2 weeks then I'd buy it, but I don't know.

The only thing you don't need from a basic package is the remote and you may be able to sell that. Not sure what a Mini RC would be worth right now.
You'll have to weight the cost of a standard package, minus what the RC is worth, compared to what DJI wants to charge you with the discount (does it include a battery that you also lost?), adjust for convenience of quick replacement.

The replacement package DJI wants to send me comes with an Aircraft, one intelligent flight battery and some spare props. The only thing it doesn't come with is remote controller and chargers.

My only issue is that I don't even know where to sell the controller and who would even buy it. The total cost with 15% of is £308. The price for the standard package is £369. That's £61 saved. So I assume the remote controller costs about £55, and the charger maybe £6? I wouldn't mind selling the remote controller and charger for £45, but finding someone to buy it is the issue.

Basic package doesn't come with charger, at least not in US. Originally it was supposed to but seems DJI changed their mind. That claim seems to be backed up by others asking what charger to use or if their phone charger would work. Silly if you ask me.

If the difference is £61 and you want it ASAP, get the basic package.

You're right it doesn't come with charger. So just no remote control by the looks of it. This is difficult.

The following is based on my US experience. Your UK experience may be different.

If you choose the replacement option, they should send it on the same day they receive your wreck. If you choose the repair option, they will diagnose the damage and send you an estimate for the repair. If the repair estimate is lower than the Refresh fee you can elect to pay for the repair and save your Refresh use. Of course, the diagnosis, communications, and repair will likely take a few weeks.

No I didn't send my drone for repair. I lost my old Mavic mini, so what they did was send me a new one with 15% discount. I just want to know how long it will take from the time I complete the payment to the time the drone reaches my doorstep

i dont think anyone can give you an accurate answer it will take as long as it takes at this time of year

You just need to decide if getting a new one quickly is worth the temporary cost of £61, or worth saving the £61 with the gamble of it taking a while.

Come to think of it, £308 doesn't seem like you're getting a 15% discount if without considering it a discount, you're only saving £61. I can't see a replacement remote costing much less than that.
61/369 = 16.5%.
308*1.15=354.20
Remote worth only £17? I doubt it.

Mine, but under DJICARE, took 10 days, that was almost a year ago.

Unless there is a snag, always about 10 days in the USA.
Remember, I'm the one that has two Mavic Air in the shop regularly for warranty repair
