I only use mine when taking long trips either by car or by plane. For just short rides close to home, I don't use the cover; I just brace the gimbal against a pillow to keep it from vibrating. What about you?
As it’s a quick (2 seconds?) function on my Mini 4 Pro, I do it as soon as I finish flying, ie before I fold the arms with the props.I only use mine when taking long trips either by car or by plane. Hmmm...I have the Air2s, Air3s, and Mini5 Pro. Putting on and taking off the cover is cumbersome at best and damaging at worst on all of them. I am always leery putting on and taking off the cover. The Mini 4 Pro must be different. As it’s a quick (2 seconds?) function on my Mini 4 Pro, I do it as soon as I finish flying, ie before I fold the arms with the props.
Thanks for the responseAs others have said, if it’s not about to fly, flying, or just landed the gimbal cover will be on. It protects both lens and gimbal and takes seconds to attach so why not! If you want awkward, try the Mavic Pro gimbal holder! Mini 4/5 Pro is a doddle compared to that!
Yeah, sometimes it takes as long as five seconds to put the cover on or take it off, and I can't imagine how either process would be damaging unless a person completely lacks manual dexterity. The manufacturer provides a gimbal cover with every drone. Use it.Hmmm...I have the Air2s, Air3s, and Mini5 Pro. I used to do that One day I was reaching up on the shelf and "punched" the gimbal pretty hard, No damage BUT I leave the covers on now.If it was setting on a shelve or desk with no chance of damage would be the only way I’d feel comfortable doing. I always take the covers off regardless of the model when powering on. With my older drones the gimbal would self calibrate during powering on.
I must lack manual dexterity, but I don't care how long it takes. I care about how cumbersome it is to put on and take off. I should probably practice with it more.Yeah, sometimes it takes as long as five seconds to put the cover on or take it off, and I can't imagine how either process would be damaging unless a person completely lacks manual dexterity. Practice makes perfect we know! Soon it will become second nature.I must lack manual dexterity, but I don't care how long it takes. I care about how cumbersome it is to put on and take off. I should probably practice with it more.
Neither do I, but TY for pointing that out.Sorry, I do not understand this.
