Hyperlapse creation software?

Hi all, I just started playing around with litchi and wanted to make some hyperlapse video. Are there any good free or inexpensive tools for beginners to either speed up a video or merge pictures into a hyperlapse?

I know my way around photography tools like DX0 Photolab, but never touched video editing in this context.

I use Shotcut. It's free and VERY versatile. I like videoing fog from the air and speeding up the video to show how it 'flows'. I used to use it to turn photos into timelapse videos but I much prefer the smoothness of sped up video.

It works on Linux, Mac and Windows and you'll find a ton of tutorial videos on Youtube.

Any video editor should work. Shotcut is a good as any in that regard and free. I use PP, though, which isn't free.

Most video editors have speed controls that will support that kind of speed changes.
