I have a Mavic 3 Pro and recently purchased a claw for drone deliveries. The tether attaches to the body with tie wraps but I want to add a small hook just forward of the underside lights to attach the tether instead of the tie warps. Does anyone see a problem with this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello from the Crossroads of America tas99.

Nice to meet you Tom. 🤝

I would use a plastic, brass, or aluminum hook that is light weight and non magnetic, which shouldn't mess with the compass.

I don't have an M3P for reference but thought I'd share the thought.

Welcome to the Forum.

Thanks Crossroads, that makes sense. I'll find something non-magnetic.

If those parts don’t move around during flight, do a compass calibration with them attached prior to takeoff, and that should calibrate and fix any compass issues. There are other metallic parts on your drop unit, including the servo motor and other metalic hardware that’s built into it.
