I had a weird thing happen to me today I have never experienced before. I was flying a mission with no issues and returned to home to change to a fresh battery. When I went to launch again I could take off but was unable to move in any direction. After fiddling around, rebooting and looking for an answer I stumbled upon something about an IBU calibration error. After one failed attempt to re-calibrate I rebboted again and was able to complete the calibration sequence and go back to flying. I am curious if anyone else has seen this happen.

@Eagle Eye 62 not sure if there is a typo error in your post
have never heard of IBU ,but maybe you mean an IMU error
it was probably a communication error between the various components in the IMU as it was booting up that caused the error and thats what caused it to freeze

Good catch, it was a typo I did mean IMU. My question is why did it happen. This is my first flight since the latest upgrade and I am wondering if it is some kind of firmware bug.

sometimes these things happen ,dont forget its a sophisticated piece of electronics with lots of info being sent between different parts at very high speeds ,and if just one of those signals does not get recognised then it will create an error message ,when you first start the drone it will be a cold start and sometimes you will get the message IMU initialising ,but in your case the components were still quite hot ,as you had just flown so that alone can make a difference

Like all electronics, the very first we are taught to do is to shut down, and restart. These electronics go through many steps in coming to life, and they must follow in a strict order. That is the case for my modem, my TV set, and my iPhone. And yes, when I saw "IBU" I knew you meant to say IMU.

Or maybe it was saying, "If I be you..., and you be me..."
