If I open my mavic and replace any parts, does that void the warranty?

I replaced the gimbal ribbon cable myself about 2 months ago. Having an issue now which I don't think is related to that cable, but I'm not sure. Is my warranty with DJI totally voided if you open up your mavic? Or will they just not cover whatever parts i replaced?

I believe if the mavic is worked on by anyone other than an authorized maintenance or repair individual the warranty is void.

In my experience, if you are asking for a Refresh, they dont even look at the drone. They just send you a new or refurbed one. They dont care if you opened it or not.

If you crash and are claiming under warranty that a manufacturers defect caused it, if they can tell you opened it, you will have a hard time proving that you didnt tamper with the part that failed and caused the crash. They can be obstinate when you try to prove your point even if you have enough evidence on your behalf.

Correct.
