Good Evening Forum!

A couple of quick questions:
Today when I tried to fly MM, a notification came up in regard to the IMU calibration. I went into the settings and hit calibrate. The screen opened with the instruction and to hit "start", which I did and then nothing. I did check and binded the MM to the controller, all while the light continues to flash red/green. I also noticed that the unit is having difficulty locating satellites and therefore no GPS signal.

Has any one ran into the issue with IMU calibration and the reason that it appears not to calibrate? is this a result of the continuous gree/red light flashing.

The funny thing is that I was flying the drone yesterday with no issues.

Thanks for any insight you can share.

Are you rotating the drone as depicted in the pictures on your cell phone? This has stumped a few people in the past since they didn't realize you have to follow the image orientation by rotating the drone to match the screen. After the light blinks green, the image changes position and you rotate the drone again. If you've never done the IMU calibration, you may want to check out this video.

IMU Calibration

I have been flying the MM for over 4 months and this is the first time that the notification of IMU has required calibration. The issue I am having is that once I press the start calibration button... nothing happens. The image doe not change, it as though it has frozen. At the same time there is also a notification regarding lack of GPS signal. So I am wondering if the green/red light is in regard to the IMU calibration issue or is it the GPS signal issue. Thanks

Not sure then on the GPS as according to the manual, a GPS failure would be a slow blinking yellow light. The IMU failure would be a blinking red light, so not sure whats up if you are getting alternating red and green. What is the pattern of the blinking lights?

Did you just do an update or maybe have a hard landing?

You may consider posting your flight data here for a specialist to review your sensors and you could also try refreshing your current firmware on the drone. Hopefully someone else that has experienced this anomaly will offer additional guidance.

If you are asked for a "normal" calibration, (compass) that's not lMu. The still picture should show a directional arrow to turn the AC in two different directions of 360 degrees. If its an IMU calibration,
which you would have to go into advanced settings, then the still picture is how to orientate
the drone until it tells you to turn it to the next orientation which would mean standing it on its side, back flat and on its nose. Leave it there until the picture changes.
When finished it will say restart, make sure you restart.

Good Evening,
I dug around on a few other sites and it appears that this has happened to others. The recommendation was to give a light slap to the top of the mavic mini. I gave it two light slaps to the top and restarted the MM and everything was good. I am going to monitor and see if the issue returns.

Thanks again!
