The official power up order is RC -> Mavic -> App. Granted, I dont always follow that, but I have no had issues popping between iPhone and iPad. So I dont really know other than what I have guess above - I dont have any Android devices to test with.
But I can confirm you can only have one device plugged in at a time, and if you use the bottom USB plug, the side plug must be unhooked.
