iPad PRO 9.7 smoked the iPad Mini 4

I hear the pro Ipads are also stellar at HD video editing, better than most PC's and Macs. Have you tried that yet? I am thinking of getting the giant 12" ipad pro that just came out.

Should you upgrade to Apple's redesigned 2018 iPad Pro? I may have to grab this. My new work laptop doesn't have the horsepower I want when I am away.

But still less than the MBP that may or not be slower than the ipad.
If you want to have the horsepower to edit 4K video and NOT have to wait forever, is there a cheaper PC or MAC option that is Ipad pro fast?

I just think it's all about the workflow. I mean, if you've got a lot of footage, clips, photos, etc. you're still going to need external or additional storage, and no matter how you shake it...dealing with that on any iOS device is what I'd call wonky at best. Also, to my knowledge, there is still no way to deal with lens distortion in iOS yet (does anyone know of something that works on videos yet there? Threre's plenty for photos...), and I'm sure that there are plenty of other semi-advanced functions not available yet in any iOS app. I'm not saying that the iPad Pro workflow might not rock for some (I think it might even be good enough for me), but what I am saying is that once you start getting into the 2k+ pricing structure, many people's needs might not be fully met by what it is capable of delivering yet...no matter the speed.

I use an iPad mini 4 with my Mavic and, even in bright sunlight, I don't have issues with the screen being too washed out to be viewable. It's the perfect solution as far as I'm concerned.

You people realize there's a brightness control in settings on the iPad, right?
