Is it this?
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC®) | TSA Enrollment by IDEMIA
TWIC® is required by the MTSA for workers who need access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime facilities/vessels. Apply now.tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov
I would say it depends completely on where you want to work doing what kind of job. For example, the TWIC is a required credential for various jobs at international air and maritime ports of entry. Its going to give you a wider range of potential jobs inside a secure facility including unloading, inspecting or transporting cargo. $125 is not that much if it opens the door to a job that you want to do.Worth the $125 just to have it?
Thanks. It can also be acquired upon being offered a job.I would say it depends completely on where you want to work doing what kind of job. I was required to get one as a commercial captain to enter controlled ports. After 911 the TWIC requirements went nuts, couldn't even go under the Skyway Bridge without one. Nowdays unless your working in a gov restricted area it's not needed or worth it.Worth the $125 just to have it?
