Is it ok to fly with a gopro mounted ontop of the battery?

My camera is out of action for a bit and to just use the drone to take pictures of weather (storm cells ect) will a gopro be ok and not mess up the flight dynamics as a stop gap until new parts arrive?

The Mavic can be flown without downward sensors, and should be in some circumstances.
