hi all new litchi user here, i mostly shoot images with my mavic not video so much, i luv the pano features in dgiji go, i have been trying a few in litchi with mixed results, is the pano mode in litchi more for 360 small world panos? i turned legacy pano off and i have the pano set to 3 rows 3images per row and 90 degree, i then copy those into lightroom to stich together, they seem rounded like a fish eye and not real looking, is there any setting u guys use to get real looking panos from litchi, i aslo want to do 180 panos, i believe in dgi go when u set your sublect in the center it shoots 90 one way and 90 the other, does litchi do that too or do u start from one end and it wil go 180 in that direction, thanx for any pano tips

i think the issue you are having is likely to be related to what you are doing in lightroom. rounded like fish eye suggest you have used the wrong projection in lightroom panorama module. you might want to try something other than lr to stitch your panos. perhaps microsoft ice or ptgui.

hmm i dont think so, the pano feature in lightroom has 3 prospective modules and i try them all to see what suite my image best, with djo go pano images i can use spherical and clyndrical modes no prob and adjust from there, when i load the litchi images most of the time clyndical wont work only spherical, i tried a bunch of setting today with regards to the angle and amount of rows etc, still havent found a setting that works well, ill keep at her though i am sure once i dial her in the images will be good but as of yet i havent found the recipe so to speak

well i imagine spherical is the one to use, as that is the methodology litchi takes it as. drone in centre and it rotates around itself on the spot taking the images. I rarely use litchi for panos any more, but I went back to an old set that was taken with litchi defaults of settings of 4 rows of 8 360 degrees and 2 nadirs. was easily able to grab 4 images from the set of 34 and stitch using lr. it is not obviously distorted.

i tried playing with the angle setting, images with 15degrees seemed odd and set at 0 seemed odd but at 10 degrees i had some luck,

Here's a Litchi 360x180. 5 rows / 8 columns / 2 nadirs / 30° up-angle and some filler for the missing sky. Your final image must be 2:1 - like 18,000 pixels X 9,000 pixels. So you need to add sky, or blank space across the top of the image to achieve the 2:1 ratio ~ by making the image taller till its height is equal to half of the width.

I get that... I tend to make a bunch of Litchi 360 panos, 1 row, 8 shots and I always do 1 nadir just so I can easily pick out the 8 to stitch in Lightroom when I have several to process. The thing I like the most is the high resolution output... around 19,000 x 2500

Funny ~ I always roll the EV (exposure) wheel way down to shoot a very dark photo between Litchi panos. Otherwise, it's just a pain trying to sort them out later.

The issue there is I'd have to remember to do that. lol I just leave the setting to 1 nadir and I never have to think about it again. (and sometimes the pic that it takes can be pretty cool)
