Clumsily dropped the SC on a sidewalk while filming; shattered the glass. Seems to operate normally but is unworkable to fly with it. Tried to go through DJI but couldn’t get a repair quote because they want me to wastefully want me to send in. Seems like a simple, standard repair to me.

Any recommended repair service would be helpful. Alternatively, if I were able to get glass somehow, can any qualified computer repair shop fix?

Possibly they would just replace it? Haven’t seen this scenario yet, so I’m not sure how to handle this one. Not using a lanyard? You may not have a lot of choices. I’ll watch to see the results. Good luck.

When I trashed my M2P, and before I decided to repair it myself, I was going to use these guys:

About DJI Drone Service | DJI Drone Service - Your Drone Repair Shop

Couldn't hurt to ask them. But Smart Controller repair parts may not be as readily available as parts for the drone - where it appears you can buy any component part or sub-assembly.

A neck strap is the way to go to reduce the risk of SC damage, it's also convenient as it leaves both hands free.

I wish I would’ve known. Only a few miles from me. I’ll keep it for future reference.
