Having a strange issue. While in flight my tablet randomly goes black as though it is timing out. I am using an older Samsung tablet. I thought it was a cable issue as it seemed messing with the connectors would fix it. I grab a new cable and all was OK for a while but now doing it again. Puzzled..... I don't think it is a time-out issue of the tablet... Any ideas?

Does the whole screen go black or just the video feed?

There have been issues with some iPhones due to internal temperature and it’s possible a similar issue could occur with Samsung tablets, especially with the high processing load of the Go4 app on older model tablets.

The entire screen goes black. Thanks for the reply!

It could still be the cable, cheaper ones often prove unreliable.

Do you have access to another tablet or phone with the same connector/socket you could try? It would also help to rule out a possible tablet temperature issue.

The remote controller will still work without the tablet but of course you’ll have no video feed.

I have used my iPhone which I also use with my Mini. No issues but different cable of course. The cable for tablet is type C. Tablet is the only device I have with that. I do have an old iPad that I have not tried. Thx

The USB-C plug/sockets are an improvement and more secure than I’ve found with Apple’s Lightning connectors. Looks like Apple will go down that path with the next iPhone like they have with the current iPads.

Hope you manage to isolate the cause. Let us know how you go.

If the entire screen goes black, rather than only the DJI software screen, the problem is within the tablet, not the DJI system. You will need to troubleshoot the tablet itself.
