I’ve had the MA1 for nearly a month without issue, then all of sudden the controller now needs to be calibrated almost every time I fly. The constant beeping is really annoying.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Mine started doing it after about 9 months. Contacted DJI support and they got me to send it to them. They investigated and the left stick was found to be faulty and they sent me a new RC.

Very happy with the service and quick turn around time from DJI Australia.

I'd try refreshing the firmware on the RC and AC using DJI Assistant 2 on the PC and then restoring factory defaults.

Try calibrating the RC first.
Don't forget the gimbal control or it won't finish

I started experiencing this issue too with my original Mavic Air controller. I then tried using a degaussing tool (marketed for degaussing audio tape heads) on the remote, over both stick areas, a few times and it seems to have helped. My theory was that somehow the components got improperly magnitized since I occasionally stored my remote near a large speaker.

I used the same tool over the drone's compass area and it seems to not demand calibrating the compass as often either.

Granted, this could all be a coincidence but it only cost me around $10 for the demagnetizer/degausser off Amazon, so I figured it was worth a try.

I have completed the entire controller calibration many times (including gimbal). I did discover that tightening the thumb sticks on the MA1 does something that stoped the beeping. Weird but happy it worked (for now).

I take back what I said. It’s still beeping almost everytime I turn it on. I tried connecting it to the PC to calibrate it with the Assistant but it wouldn’t connect with the remote even though it connected to the drone itself fine a few weeks back. However when I unplugged it and turned the controller back on it wasn’t beeping. This is just weird.

You can't calibrate the RC via DJI Assistant 2, but you can refresh the firmware and reset it factory settings.
The RC needs to be powered on for the usb connection to be recognised

If you get the micro usb connect/disconnect tones, then you need to rerun the driver installation, see the file path at the top of the photo to locate the files, run the relevant driver set-up batch file based on what windows operating system you are running, either 32bit or 64bit

The controller was powered up but the pc app would not recognize it. The PC would keep making the usb connection sound every few seconds but not action on the Assistant app.

Yep, that's a usb driver issue, there is a tone to connect and a tone when it disconnects, it will keep connecting and disconnecting until you remove the cable
