Hello. Just received my M2P on Monday. Took it out for the first time yesterday. The weather was overcast and cloudy but it wasn't scheduled to rain until later in the day. Had it up for maybe 10 - 15 minutes to see how it flew. It responded great, was very fast, etc... I took 3 pictures while I was flying (not the greatest are to take photos) so when I got back in and took a look at the pics I noticed the first had a nice level horizon and the next 2 were sort of fisheye looking. I tried to see if I could correct this in Photoshop and it changed a bit. I updated the firmware, changed the camera settings, etc.. on Monday. Is there possibly something wrong with the camera or is there a fix? ThanksMav 2 Pic 1 - R1.jpg

Just to add, the horizon is level in your 1st photo because it is central in the frame. In the 2nd photo the horizon is higher in the frame so the lens distortion affects it more.

Is the shape of the lens different than say the one on the Mavic Air or my Phantom 4 Pro V2? I've never run into this problem before.

From what I'm seeing/hearing on YouTube, the barrel distortion only happens when in D-Log M for video. DJI lists different video editing software that can eliminate this problem. I'm going to keep looking to see if there are any ways to fix the distortion on RAW photos.

No really it is a characteristic of the lens, it is not anything to do with the recording mode and is present on still and video when viewed full frame. But it's a mathematical distortion and easy to remove in editing software - normally you just give the focal length of the lens and it will do it automatically.

Which software are you opening the raw file with. The camera does have some barrell distortion in it but when I import a raw file into lightroom, it applys a default DJI/Hassleblad lens correction. I will have to take a look but I don't seem to have a choice, it is just applied. If your jpgs do not have the distortion then it seems like your raw program is ignoring the lens profile.

Thanks. I'll have to give lightroom a try. I don't think I'll be testing it out soon. I was extremely lucky to get a day with nice enough weather on Tuesday.
