Mavic Air landing issue

Im having trouble landing in tighter spaces.When I get to a couple of feet off the ground,and there is say lawn furniture on one side and the house wall on the other,the drone stick seems to not respond.If I gain altitude the sticks come back.I tried to use the auto land (0n a helipad) and it told me conditions were bad and it couldn't.I clearly had enough room it was only a couple of feet above the pad.Perhaps I have a setting screwed up?Thanks for the help.

You could try turning off Landing Protection. Just be mindful that you may need to control it all the way to the ground instead of Go 4 controlling the last couple of feet.

I’ve had the landing conditions pop up in a box. You can swipe arrow to the right and do forced landing

It's because of the proximity sensors, I think
