Mavic For Tank Inspections Having Issues

We've been using the Mavic Pro for concrete tank inspections due to its size. We've been having some issues with the compass and flight modes. Once inside it wont let me go into tripod mode and gives compass warnings. Are there settings i can adjust for flying in tanks. The obstacle avoidance has been turned off. Thanks for your help...

It's probably because of lack of GPS signal inside the tank.

IMHO the Magic is not the right tool for the task.

The likely issue is coming from the re-bar in those concrete tanks causing magnetic interference with the compass. Flying in an environment like that is not a good idea. If you are proficient at flying in ATTI mode you could potentially do the parameter mods and setup the sport mode switch to switch to ATTI instead. In that mode the aircraft is not relying on compass information to fly.

We've been flying it in small areas and buildings without gps (just vision) and its been fine??
