Bought one a while back but haven't flown with it yet.. I keep it on all the time.. Rubber cover still fits and stays on as far as keeping dust off lens---good luck.

Ive flown with mine two or three times but took it off, you see a lot of the hood if flying forward too fast, i gave up using it.

I trimmed the part off of mine and it doesnt show anymore.

There are more than one MFG making these and I don't know if the cutout's are all the same. Well see..

I keep mine on . Only shows up during really fast flying but that's not when I'm trying to get great video anyway . Works good otherwise .

Or if You have access to 3d printer (your own, friend, work, etc), it can be printed. Files for it are available for free

So my question is i have Taco filter already, would i still need the sun shade? or does anyone use both? or if matters to have one or the other? thanks

I got it. NOT worth it a lot.
If you go sport mode it shows on top.
If you turn it will show on the sides.

Not really big benefits and more annoyances instead.
Avoid.
