Does anybody know if Mavic minis are affected by TFR‘s

Yes. The MM is treated the same as any other drone. All FAA regulations and laws apply to it other than needing to register it.

Flying the MM is governed in the U.S. by all FAA rules except registering/ displaying an FAA number .... if the owner is a solely a hobbyist and adds less than 1 gram of equipment, skin, etc.

I know you need to follow all the same rules as other drones but does it automatically get shut down like say the M2P ?

My M2P just stops moving if I encounter an NFZ. Rarely has happened as I check TFRs on the FAA website.

If you are in a TFR when it becomes active the M2P will autoland. I suspect the answer is yes...
You could try it out... or contact DJI.

My experience is a little different with my M 2P it does not even allow me to takeoff during a TFR . All I am trying to do is fly some kind of decent bird in my backyard during a Viking game at a low altitude

That is my experience also. Sorry... my posts only covered encountering a TFR while in flight. What you report is expected behavior.

Fly app gave me a warning as a large splash pop-ups yesterday evening about an upcoming nearby college football game. It startled me. Game would be almost 50 miles away.

That’s good to know, I’m trying to decide whether to buy one, Probably not if it has the stringent TFR set up

The TFR’s for the games are from 0 feet AGL to 18,000 ft, so that means no flight by sUAS’s, or manned aircraft in the TFR area without clearance from the entity requesting the TFR. In your case the NFL and the Vikings team.
I cannot understand why people think they are exempt from the rules just because their house lies in controlled or restricted airspace areas.

I am talking about flying a drone in my backyard no higher than 20 feet. I believe in all the rules and regulations but I also believe in common sense

Then submit a request for clearance at the area and altitude you wish to fly with the entity listed in the TFR. If they grant you the clearance then fly to your heart’s content.
I do understand your logic on the common sense argument, but the chances are slim of getting clearance. Just consider the safety reasons for the TFR apart from the monetary reasons for the pro and college sports teams and television networks. Just be glad you don’t live near Disney Parks where the TFR’s are constant.

Mattia far as our almost constant here two with the Minnesota Vikings the Minnesota gophers the wild I live close to downtown. I’m not going to go through all that Putz around in my backyard my only question was does the Mavic mini have the same TFR shut down as the larger Mavics, I will just have to wait for other people to chime in later as it gets used more but thank you for your effort

The common sense part of it is that my drone never leaves my little backyard what harm can it possibly do anybody

The FAA can grant you the clearance. I have one for my 4 square mile practice area that’s good for 2 years and infringes on 2 nofly airport zones... takes about 1-2 weeks to get. They are very helpful

ahh Thank you for that that’s good to know

Yes, the Mavic Mini has the same GEO fencing all other DJI drones have, including all TFR's, except you cannot currently even self authorize Authorization Zones to unlock them. It is more restrictive, not less.

Yep I am also hearing that it will not even take off at the extended flight path zones they’re gonna have to fix that

Was that under 107 or recreational?
