I am not certain I understand you question correct as it seems a bit unusual but does a normal cable connection between the tablet and the controller not work?
It seems the connection is USB-C and a controller to USB-C cable should have been supplied with the drone for use with the controller's side port.
I would have thought a normal 'big' USB to USB-C cable would work with the lower port.
