Mini 2 without controller (MA 2 controller)

Since the Mini 2 comes with the exact same controller I was wondering if it can use the MA2 controller as well. Since MA 2 owners don't need a second remote control it would be neat if there was a version of the mini 2 without controller.. Not only regarding the price but also regarding producing more electronical waste..

This is a great suggestion. I understand you as I am in the exact same spot.
There was some reference the last days on the web that both Mini and MA 2 have the same model of the controller, so yes it should be working. Cannot find the post/article right now, but i'll add it later if i find it.

The M2 has a “pause button” it looks like. So, my guess is they’re not interchangeable.

The remotes are interchangeable! This is in the official FAQ on the Mini 2 web site, down at the end.

There was a update for my Mavic Air 2 RC and the changelog contained, that Mini 2 support has been added, so Yes. MA 2 RC is compatible with Mini 2.

I thought it would be a no brainer for DJI to get additional sales.
