We enjoyed a fresh coat of snow in NJ on Super Bowl Sunday and it gave me a good chance to try the Mini in the snow. I was not disappointed.

I live in NJ also was so tempted to go fly. Were you concerned about getting snow in the motors?

Very nice. I also fly in light snow out here in Colorado, but I'd be more hesitant about doing it back east. I grew up in western PA and the snow there has a lot of moisture content. A very wet snow. It could possibly get into the motors and damage them, and could also cause rime ice to form on the props affecting flight characteristics. Here out west the snow is a very dry, powdery snow so not as much chance of moisture issues. There's always a chance but just have to be aware. Happy and safe flying!
I flew it a few weeks back on my grandparent's farm in Illinois. It was cold and foggy and it came back with ice on the props. But it seemed to perform good.
This time the Mini stayed dry. I never took it far and brought it back in frequently to check on it. No problems but I don't think I would fly a more expensive drone in the snow.
