Air 2s Moving water is freezing

Taken this morning just outside of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The ice is just starting to freeze over on this small river.
In a normal year the water would be frozen.

Where I live we would have already had at least one snowfall before Halloween and but I will be surprised if we will have snow by Christmas.

The weather is so variable right now where I live.
It could be well above freezing on Christmas or it could be -30 degrees and lots of snow.
Things are different.
