MP4 quality - no smooth films

HI guys, I just started to use my first Mavic air and the mp4 images are not “smooth”. There are delays in the film when I play them on my Mac book air. Does anybody know how to solve this? Thanks!

I’m not sure if this is the same issue as what you are experiencing but when I playback 4K MP4 videos taken with my Mavic Pro on my home PC which is a cheap HP Laptop, they are terrible - not smooth at all.

The same videos played on my work Laptop (fast Intel i7 with plenty of RAM) are beautifully smooth - perfect. They also run nicely on my 7 year old Samsung Smart TV.

You must be right, it has to do with my Mac book. After exporting it to a different format it worked well. Guess I have to invest in a stronger laptop. Thanks!

Also check your frame rate
On my i7, 24p videos play with a stutter on my external 60hz display, but play smoothly on built in 120hz display.
30p videos play smoothly on both monitors.

I have the following: MacBook Air early 2014, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, macOS High Sierra.

I can play 4K 30fps raw mp4 videos smoothly but only using QuickTime player.

When played using VLC it's choppy.
