I really liked your video but Kenny, your killing me man.
I can't monetize it but that's not what I am looking to do. So they note it is copyrighted and ensure I can't make money but I just post for fun.I don't even know how you're able to use Kenny G. I wouldn't be surprised if YouTube jumped on that and took it down. I don't give .02 cents, just letting you know.
That's way cool then! I didn't realize that. I didn't think that you could use copyrighted music in any way, unless you paid for it. Mind if I ask how you go about getting the soundtracks and applying them to your videos? Because I too, have no interest in monetizing any of my videos or pictures, but the only way I know how to add music, is either through the DJI app, or the free stuff available in the editing process of uploading on YouTube.I can't monetize it but that's not what I am looking to do. I liked the video and was impressed with the growth of Nashville. Your flying was great.I really liked your video but Kenny, your killing me man.
Dale, While that may be true about Vimeo, it is still not "legal" to use any copyrighted music in a video for public display without permission, even if it is not being monetized.I liked the video and was impressed with the growth of Nashville. Your flying was great.
Of course we all knew immediately the the music was Songbird by Kenny G. For several years I only posted to You Tube but I kept getting threatening e-mails about copyright infringement, and music rights. I had to take each and every posting down. I believe that they have changed their business plan now and allow the music but will not allow it to be monitized. That is ok with me since I really don't depend on their money. For me, as for most of us it is a hobby.
You Tube makes tons of money on the creations we submit. We do all the work and they get all the money. There are some You Tube creators who do make a ton of money but they have a minimum of a certain number of thousands of viewers and are always begging for likes and subscriptions. That's perfectly ok too.
For my own reasons, I switched to first a free subscription then minimal paid subscription (20 GB a month) to VIMEO. Vimeo does not downgrade my video qualities from 4K to 1080p and they have never bugged me about music.
You are probably right but I am not the kind that will push the envelope by using a Frank Sinatra song or Kenny G piece. I use music tracks that I like from other videos that fit my taste, and if fairly unknown, I just use them. I've never been bothered from Vimeo like I was with You Tube, and I have never made a red cent from my hobby. I paid for a music service of a year and used it about 12 times ( I was never able to produce more than a video per month). That music service cost about $250.00.Dale, While that may be true about Vimeo, it is still not "legal" to use any copyrighted music in a video for public display without permission, even if it is not being monetized.
I download songs from Amazon music and sometimes have to pay .99 for a song then upload to YouTubeThat's way cool then! I didn't realize that. Thanks I hope I didn't fly over a hospital I at least try not too since I never know if a heliocopter could how up.You probably flew over St. Thomas Hospital where I was born in 1945. For many years the state capitol was the tallest building in the city. Nice video.
I might have to look into Vimeo thanks!!!I liked the video and was impressed with the growth of Nashville. Your flying was great.

No, seriously though, I thought the video was great but there is something about that song that just bothers me, like nails on a chalk board if you know what I mean.....Lol sorry to stress you out or put you to sleep
I understand music is very subjectiveNo, seriously though, I thought the video was great but there is something about that song that just bothers me, like nails on a chalk board if you know what I mean.....
Your music is fine. It's your video, and you choose to use whatever music you want. Forget people that talk negatively about it. You can't please everybody, so you may as well do what makes you happy.I understand music is very subjective
Appreciate it man like I said music is subjective but as you said I make a video because I enjoy doing it and if others like it great if not greatYour music is fine.
