First I'll say that I'm kind of surprised that there's no dedicated forum section for the Avata/FPV drones like there is for other DJI drones. It would make it easier to share info like this.
But to the problem at hand.
I've just flown my new Avata 2 3 times so far so I don't know if this is normal or a known issue but...
yesterday I was out flying and I kept getting a very pixelated view in the Goggles 3 and then I noticed the little "HD" signal bar kept going to red.
I was literally only about 30 meters away and the drone was in direct line of sight the entire time except for when it was going behind the occasional tree trunk for literally a few milliseconds.
Has anyone else seen this?
I also had a red banner that said something like "connect to DJI Fly outdoors".
Is this related in some way?
I looked up what that error message was but there's surprisingly little info on it. The only thing I saw was a thread on the DJI forum but it looked like the repair offered there by other users (not the DJI forum staff) was to factory reset everything and start from scratch. I find it hard to believe that's the answer.
Thoughts?
