The new Android DJI GO 4 app is out and those who have updated report no problems and no issues.

WHAT'S NEW
Added support for Spark:
-Added advanced gesture controls.
-Added horizontal and vertical panoramas.
-Added ShallowFocus shooting mode.
-Added QuickShot Mode.
-Added Coordinate Mode.
Matrice 200:
-Added support for the Matrice 200 and AirSense.
Editor
-Added some new filters and opening scenes.
-Updated the music library.
General:
-After updating, users is required to log into their DJI account once.
-Added a feature that allows no-fly zones to update in real time.

What about the horizontal and vetrical panoramas? No 360 panoramas yet? I use litchi only for the ability to shoot 360 panoramas. Dronepan is not working on my Mavic...

The tech guys said that It would repair my issue with livestream using an Android, but it didn't. Back to the email chain.

New App seems ok.

i updated the go 4 app, android, and the warning at the begining that i had for the last 2 weeks is gone, and it didnt ask me to re-login, or to re-activate
seems like nothing is changed for my mavic
i still have yet to fly it and see if there are any restrictions

Same here... Didn't ask for anything. Connected to the drone and all seems good.

just did a full battery, no issues, no restrictions, no re-activate all same

none of them appeared when the mavic connected, so i guess they are all for the spark

Hello so i'm a bit lost with all those update and NFZ update thingy


I checked my different status and they are as follow :

APP version : 4.0.7 (DJI GO4)
Firmware : 01.03.0600 (Aircraft)

Remote controller : 01.03.0600

Aircraft Database 0.0.1.4
APP Database : 00.00.01.04

I haven't flown my Mavic since over a month but i have a 3 weeks vacation planned in China next month (shanghai, Beijing, Guilin). I currently live in Hong Kong.

I will of course not fly in the cities but want to be able to enjoy GUILIN great natural landscape with my drone.

QUESTION 1 : is this ok if i just leave everything like it is now and put my phone in airplane mode whenever i want to fly so there is no NFZ update prompting ?

I don't want to take the risk to be blocked from flying once in China

QUESTION 2 : Also , can i consider just updating the DJI GO4 app but never update the Aircraft firmware and be safe from those "new NFZ technologies" ? or is already too late to get a "clean version" of DJI GO 4 app ?

PS : and yes i know CHINA just recently enforced drone flying rules and want people to register before flying anywhere...
