  • Date: 2024.06.27
  • Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.0600
  • Remote Controller Firmware: v02.02.0100 (DJI RC 2)
v01.01.0300 (DJI RC-N2)
  • DJI Fly App iOS: v1.13.8
  • DJI Fly App Android: v1.13.8

What’s New
  • Added support for Enhanced Transmission in some countries and regions.
  • Fixed some known issues.

Notes:
  • If the update fails, restart aircraft, remote controller, and DJI Fly or DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series), and retry.

Some of the firmware updates impact battery functionality, which is why you see firmware updates when you swap batteries.

im one of those that will wait at least 2 weeks before updating, unless there is something in the new FW that fixes an issue im having with the quad, then i read the forums to see if there are known issues with the newer FW

Just a little note about battery firmware... When it changes, the new firmware is stored on the drone, and updates without any download necessary. It will update in the field without an internet connection.

To save myself from surprise and a little delay, I try to remember to run through all the batteries when there's a firmware update.

DJI Have released the new DJI Fly ver 1.14.1 firmware to include compatibility for the new NEO range. It appears this latest firmware upgrade kicks out support for Tablets (I have a Samsung A9+) which the new firmware hangs the device once the app has loaded. Speaking with DJI support claim they do not recommend tablets or now support tablets on the list of the supported products in the DJI Download Centre - I'm reasonably certain that the previous firmware version did support Samsung tablets, as I was flying my Mini 4k on it for three months quite happily. After a lengthy discussion with DJI Support live chat they suggested that I download the latest firmware from the DJI download centre to test my Samsung Galaxy S22+ which is considered incompatible with the DJI Fly App (DJI only recommended S22 Ultra) and in my experience, the app crashed repeatedly when downloaded to a lower spec phone. However, to my surprise, this latest version now works on the lower spec phone versions. I've not fully tested this in real anger (of which there is plenty having to peer at a smaller screen) to see if it still crashes with more extensive use but this now seems to be their workaround.
