Sounds like the right advice. LOLNo, and rarely! LOL!
If it ain’t broke, don't go fix'n it!
Exactly, that happens in most software updates - and I mean software in general, not only DJI.Should read:
“Fixed some minor bugs”
“May have included a few new ones”
I did last night.Has anyone updated to the recently released FW?? Is it worth it?
Thanks in advance

Anyone wants to contradict??
You have far more trust in DJI than I. They are notorious for including undocumented restrictions inside updates that prevent rollbacks and impose limitations that directly affect your ability to use the drone you own in the manner you could when you bought it. They add a new announced features to lure you into updating to swallow their undocumented included Trojan Horses.I've installed all the firmware and software updates DJI has issued. Never had a problem and I've been pleased with the added features and capabilities. I trust the team that designed and built the systems enough to buy several of them, and when they suggest a revision is needed, I trust them.
I agree that it's very disappointing that DJI doesn't provide more information on what was actually changed in updates.
So what did the update change? Must have been something…FWIW I updated my M3P, RC Pro and Fly App to the latest versions. All went without a hitch.. I took a bit longer than usual to install but that's all to report. I checked all camera settings afterwards and all my Photo and Video settings were the same as I had them before the update.
Minor bug fixes and readiness for drone ID, according to DJI. I am yet to test fly.So what did the update change? Must have been something…
So RID is now becoming mandatory in Australia, too?Minor bug fixes and readiness for drone ID, according to DJI. I am yet to test fly.
Not yet, at least not that I am aware of but it is probably only matter of time when it will become mandatory down here. The rule book is definitely getting thicker and thicker and not thinner. That is for sure. For those interested in the process currently underway:So RID is now becoming mandatory in Australia, too?
Yeah. It's clearly coming. They've apparently been refining the adoption of it for over a year already. To me the process itself is mind-boggling. Call me cynical but to me the consultation is merely a delay mechanism for the inevitable outcome and a bit of a make feel good tactics too. The RID will come no matter what. It is only matter of time...Yeah. It's clearly coming. They've apparently been refining the adoption of it for over a year already. Handwriting is on the wall.
Due to the increasing use of drones in Australia, and around the world, there is a need for effective tools to monitor their activity. Identification technology will help hold drone operators accountable, and support the safe integration of drones in Australian airspace.
"A discussion paper was circulated for public consultation in July 2023. The paper was a first step towards a potential mandate for drones to carry Remote ID, and in which circumstances."
"The consultation process was a starting point for ongoing discussion and collaboration between government, industry, and the broader community to ensure that deployment of Remote ID in Australia is fit-for-purpose and meets our needs."
Gee, what's not to like about RID? LOL!
Just ask all those drone pilots in the U.S. who have abandoned or severely curtailed their drone flying since it took effect! Nothing like putting a target on your back for anyone to find you with just a smartphone app every time you fly.
