New Magic Air 2 calibration issue.

Photo attached of my setup. IPad Mini 5 and the Air 2. Not getting my compass. It’s fine when I fly with my phone. Any ideas here?

I know that the ipad mini's without cellular do not have GPS, but I'm not sure if they lack a compass or not.
Does the ipad have a compass app installed?

It does have a compass and tried to calibrate to no avail.

Mine had never worked either. Starting to wonder if play services or similar doesn't have permissions. Gps does not need to be on, it'll use the home point, but the compass simply isn't working on the fly app. Mini or Air 2. Puzzling.

It's odd. Because it worked today fine with no issues. I cant understand why it does it though.
