I just purchase a classic on eBay and have a few questions. I am upgrading from an air 2s. I was able to get a screaming deal on the drone with five batteries and the RC pro controller only 70 total flights.

I do mostly photography and the much larger sensor has me very excited. I also love shooting video, but I’m not great with stick control so being able to do way points directly in the fly app is a great option.

Just wanted to see if there was any tips or tricks I should know before I get to flying.

Find a place free of trees and other obstacles....Takeoff and fly a square over and over forward and reverse then fly corner to corner etc... FORGET THE SCREEN and just fly the drone. After you can fly the square without really thinking about it, find an object of interest and practice an "orbit", Keep the subject as centered as possible in the cam while you film it as you orbit..Once you are tired of that do it some more. Doing these exercises everyday will make the sticks almost second nature to you. Don't give up...Use Tiny movements on the stick! It's always better than "snapping" the controls.

Cafguy's advice is excellent. The important thing to remember is the drone is very stable with NO control input. In other words if you feel you are getting in trouble turn loose of the control sticks. Even if you are in a bad situation the drone will remain nearly stationary until you figure out what to do. Finally, until you have a lot of practice and have built confidence fly backwards or sideways very carefully.
